SPEAKERS/VENDORS
LIVE PERFORMERS
-We have a broad sense of "Speak" to include various types of expression (e.g., song, poetry, comedy, dance, etc.)
-SIGN UP: The performances start at 7:40pm & go until 10pm. Click here to reserve a spot on Sign Up Genius. Feels free to take any slot, but we’re trying to cluster the heavier/somber and the lighter performances together (for thematic purposes). Sign up before 5/20 & get your ticket for ½ price.
-TIMEFRAME: Please try to stick to the 5min timeline. We’ll have a timer on stage to help you track time. Part of what we like about SYT is having a lot of different performances in short, digestible sets. The hope is that this will appetize attendees to check out more of your material.
- PROMOTION: Please spread the word & let all your followers know you're volunteering your time & talent to be part of a great cause. Let us know any particular way you’d like us to promote you.
VENDORS

"LISTENERS"
Attending SYT! is important as well, because we want the audience to feel connected to the "Speakers", get educated, and/or be inspired to take action. A few considerations for "Listeners":
-We'll stick with local & venue guidelines re: COVID protocols
-We'll live stream the event if you can't attend in person (w/ access to it on youtube.com going forward)
-We ask that Listeners keep an open mind & that one's "truth" may be different than your own
-SYT! can bring up strong emotions, so we'll have resources for support (online & at the venue) if needed

"Hi, How Are You?" Day
Hi How Are You Day
In 2023 Annapolis-based, multi-talented artist Skribe hosted the first "Hi, How Are You?" Day celebration in Maryland. The main event in held in Austin & celebrates the life & mental health advocacy of Daniel Johnston. Skribe brought together talented local artists at Cult Classic Brewing to perform Daniel's songs & talk about mental illness. In 2024, SYT! co-hosted this event, bringing in additional vendors & mental health resources. We're excited to continue being part of it for years to come.
